Node.js was originally built for Google Chrome and was later discovered by Google in 2008. It is built on the Chrome VV JavaScript engine. It is designed for building scalable network applications and can execute JavaScript outside the browser.

Node.js works without an HTML coding page, instead of using its own modular system based on CommonJS to insert more than one JavaScript file.
